The teaching and learning program at Fairhills High School is both dynamic and innovative, catering for the academic, social, emotional and physical development of all students. Students are challenged to be curious, creative and confident and to develop a broad and transferable skill set.
Opportunities for both independent and collaborative learning are provided and contemporary technologies are integrated throughout the learning program.
The learning environment caters for a diverse range of student abilities with specially tailored support programs and enrichment opportunities for highly able students. We recognise the integral role that parents play as co educators of our students and encourage parents to be active participants in their child’s education.
The Learning Areas follow the Victorian Curriculum model and provide opportunities in:
- Arts
- English
- Health & PE
- Humanities
- Languages

- Technology
In Years 7-10, students can follow their interests and passions through core subjects, specialisms and extra curricular activities.
In Year 11 and 12, students can select to complete VCE or VCE-Vocational Major.
At Fairhills, all students are encouraged to follow their passions and we support our learners to feel empowered and deeply engaged with their learning.
