Make an Informed Choice
We understand that finding the right school for your children is a very important decision your family will make. At Fairhills High School we organise a range of open events, information sessions and tours for prospective students and their families to get a first-hand idea of everything we have to offer. Tours can be booked through Trybooking.
To ensure a smooth transition for each individual student from primary to secondary school, Fairhills High School offers an extensive transition program. We believe the more contact our students have with their future teachers, classmates and learning environment, prior to commencing at our School, the better they will settle into life as a secondary student.
Various Transition Events
- Discovery Days for senior primary school students
- Teacher visits to primary schools
- Orientation Day – a full day’s activities for all incoming Year 7 students
- Parent Information Sessions and welcome BBQ for new students and their families
- Unique Year 7 three day induction program for parents and students addressing educational issues, social and emotional developments faced at school and home
Enrolling Your Child
Students attending Year 6 in a government primary school are provided with a transition information package at the beginning of Term 2 by their current primary schools.
Once you have decided which school you wish your child to attend for Year 7, an Application for Year 7 Placement form must be filled out and returned to the Year 6 Coordinator at your primary school.
If you would like your child to attend Fairhills High School, it is important to list us as your first preference.
For students transitioning from an Independent Primary School, please see the following document and complete the form: Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Information Pack (non-government)
Fairhills High School will notify you of the outcome.
