We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions your family will make. At Fairhills High School, we recognise the significance of a smooth and supportive transition to secondary school. A well-planned transition helps students feel confident and prepared for the challenges ahead, setting them up for success.
To ensure this, we organise a range of open events, information sessions, and tours, allowing prospective students and their families to experience first-hand what we have to offer. Our transition data is consistently much more positive than the state average, reflecting the effectiveness of our programs in helping students adjust and thrive in their new environment. We’re committed to providing the best possible start for every student, ensuring a seamless transition that fosters curiosity, confidence, and growth.

Enrolling Your Child
Fairhills High School adheres to the Department of Education Policy, which sets out requirements for entry into Victorian government schools, including admissions, enrolments, the placement of students and transfers between schools.
Government School
Students attending Year 6 in a government primary school are provided with a transition information package at the beginning of Term 2 by their current primary schools.
Once you have decided which school you wish your child to attend for Year 7, an Application for Year 7 Placement form must be filled out and returned to the Year 6 Coordinator at your primary school.
If you would like your child to attend Fairhills High School, it is important to list us as your first preference.
