School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS)
Fairhills High School is dedicated to the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework, which unites our school community to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment. Guided by our core values—Acting Responsibly, Building Relationships, and Showing Respect—this framework explicitly teaches, models, and reinforces positive behaviours, helping students incorporate these values into their daily lives. Students are rewarded for demonstrating positive behaviours through our Green Compass Points system, which fosters ongoing engagement and allows points to be exchanged at the SWPBS shop for exciting rewards. This approach motivates students to contribute to a respectful and supportive school culture. By promoting consistent and positive behaviours, the framework strengthens relationships, enhances well-being, and ensures Fairhills High School is a place where every student can thrive.
House Groups
All students are allocated to a House group when they start at Fairhills High School and remain in the same House throughout their six years at the school. The House system provides another level of connection to the school and fellow students.
Fairhills High School has four houses, Green (Crocodiles), Red (Redbacks) , Yellow (Quokkas)and Blue (Dolphins)
Through these Houses, students can participate in a range of different activities and House events. Every event that the student participates in earns points for their House. These points are tallied at the end of the year to determine the House winner at every year level.
