Year 10 Careers and employment expo with Swinburne University Campus tour.
This Career expo provided an opportunity for our students to explore different industries, meet employers face-to-face, and learn about career pathways. It enabled them to ask questions, and start building their networks. The expo presented them with opportunities they may not have previously considered.
The year 10 cohort seized the opportunity to learn about qualifications and skills required for different pathways.
Students in year 10 were able to see and experience a university campus, introducing them to Tertiary pathways. As a dual provider, both TAFE and University, students learnt that there is a tertiary pathway for everyone.
VCE Resources and Careers expo
This valuable event helps to equip students to make informed decisions about their future study and career pathways.
Students were able to speak directly with universities, TAFEs, employers, and industry representatives to learn about courses, entry requirements, apprenticeships, and career opportunities.
They also had access to expert advice on VCE subject exams, ATAR pathways, and post-school options. With tertiary planning starting in term 3, our students should be better prepared when planning for life after secondary school.
Year 9 Morrisby Interviews
This past week our year 9 students have been unpacking their Morrisby profiles. This fantastic program provides students with a better understanding of their strengths, interests, and potential career pathways.
The program matching abilities and preferences with suitable careers and study options, Morrisby provides guidance about VCE subjects, tertiary courses, and future employment.
We hope that Morrisby will help students plan for the future with greater confidence and direction.
If your student is yet to have their interview or has not yet completed the profiling process, please be aware that a profiling session and interviews will be scheduled later this term.
