What is your Role at Fairhills High School?
At present being a CRT teacher, working 2 to 3 days per week.
How long have you been at Fairhills High School?
Since mid 1995, coming up to 30 years!
What do you enjoy most about working at Fairhills High School?
Over the years, taking out sports teams and running outdoor education camps.
What is one interesting fact about yourself that people might not know?
That as a student I actually didn’t like school and was disengaged up until about yr 10. I had some great teachers who helped me enormously.
What inspires you in your role?
Hopefully having a positive influence on some of the students.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
Fishing and golf.
What’s a favourite book, movie, or TV show you would recommend?
Movie would be Happy Gilmore, book is “When the lion feeds ” by Wilbur Smith
What advice would you give to students or parents?
Try to enjoy school and not let small things stress you. Communicate with your teachers.
What’s a memorable moment you’ve had at the school?
Coaching a footy team to a big championship win which included all the big private schools in Melbourne in about 1998. I’ve still got the cup!
What’s your favourite part of the school day?
Probably in the morning saying ” good morning ” to the kids as I walk around getting ready for the day.
