This event is a STEM challenge that pushes students to apply science, engineering, and design skills to create high-performance hydrogen-powered vehicles. Throughout the program, teams collaborate, test, and refine their cars, gaining valuable problem-solving and analytical experience that mirrors real-world STEM industries.

The Grand Prix is a thrilling 4-hour endurance race featuring pit stops, strategic decision-making, and teamwork — simulating the fast-paced environment of professional motorsport. It’s a truly inspiring experience for all participants.

We warmly invite our school community and local supporters to come along and cheer on the young innovators — including our very own Fairhills High School team. This is a fantastic chance to see firsthand how future-focused education is shaping the next generation of STEM leaders.

Beyond the race, visitors can explore the STEM Careers Expo, featuring interactive displays and representatives from industry leaders such as Toyota, Hydrogen Hub, Integra, The Brainary, and Factory of the Future. These organisations will share insights and guidance on pathways into science, technology, and engineering careers — opening doors to exciting futures.

This event perfectly reflects our school’s vision: Empowering our community to be curious, creative, and confident learners. Programs like H2GP not only build technical skills but also nurture critical thinking, resilience, and communication — essential skills for success beyond the classroom.

The winning team will earn the incredible opportunity to represent Victoria at the 2025 World Hydrogen Car Grand Prix in Chemnitz, Germany — taking their innovation to the global stage.

Join us to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and the remarkable talent of our students.
